   Firm History

   In 1947 Edward J. Azar and Woodley C. Campbell started the firm of Azar & Campbell. The practice was a general litigation practice handling all types of various legal matters.

   In 1960, George B. Azar became a member of the firm and the firm name was changed to Azar, Campbell & Azar. Over the next thirty years, the firm continued as a general litigation practice firm with an emphasis on plaintiff litigation.

   In January of 1987, Woodley C. Campbell and his son, W. Clark Campbell left the firm to establish their own practice under the name of Campbell & Campbell. The firm continued practice with Edward J. Azar and George B. Azar under the name of Azar & Azar, L.L.C. The firm celebrated 62 years of practice in March of 2009.

   Azar & Azar, L.L.C. maintains a general practice of law with a heavy emphasis in the areas of personal injury/death cases, consumer, commercial, and insurance fraud litigation, real estate, probate, civil rights and municipal defense, malicious prosecution, libel and slander, and other various torts. The firm has represented thousands of clients in legal matters over the past 62 years.

   The firm of Azar & Azar, L.L.C. is one of the premier real estate firms in Central Alabama. In the past 62 years, the firm has handled thousands of commercial and residential real estate transactions. The firm has handled subdivision developments, municipal annexations and a variety of real estate matters.

   The firm is recognized as one of the areas most capable litigation firms. In its 62 years of practice, the firm has handled hundreds of litigation cases involving a variety of matters from its multi million dollar death verdict to multi million dollar fraud verdicts and a variety of all other sorts of litigation. Two of the firm's slip and fall verdicts are among the top such verdicts in the state of Alabama, Rucker's v. Service Master, $500,000.00 verdict, McBee v.    Also, the firm represented the City of Montgomery for over 20 years under Mayor Emory M. Folmar. Over that period of time, the firm successfully defended the City in municipal and civil rights litigations, including substantial death cases; serious personal injury cases; and all types of municipal litigation involving annexations and similar types of municipal litigation.
